第二 post: 二十八星宿

In China, Chinese zodiac is the main to infer an individual's personality and "fate" by his or her birth date. Logistically it can't be any more accurate than horoscopes, or I'm biased culturally, unless so many people born in the same year could inherit similar personalities/fates, (only in 12 years does the next group the type reappear). Even though predefined descriptors of any person are ambiguous even if you shorten this cycle by the month, and ultimately (by the end of 12th year) the distribution doesn't change, does zodiac explains age gaps vs. generation gaps?

Anyway if you have the time, this post introduces another ancient (500-700BC) doctrine that resolves the above dilemma. The Twenty-Eight Star Signs follows a cycle of 27 days and the doubled frequency of 28 shifts per annual surely indicates better accuracy right? Would you prefer sharing personalities just because your birth dates aren't far apart enough, or recognizing twice as much differences between (70-80%) individuals you interact with - so your parents aren't the only ones telling you you're unique?

東方青龍

角：重禮義人情，性格敦厚，但也善於言辭。 1

亢：具強烈的自尊與正義感，堅持的信念不妥協

氏：擁有絕佳的財運，不過女性則無戀愛運。

房：性格明朗活潑，具優越的實踐力與判斷力。

心：具魅力，亦贏得他人仰慕，也具有野心的一面。

尾：好冒險，也無所驚懼之事，因而不易受事情所波動。

箕：喜流離無定所，好女色也好杯中物。

北方玄武 2

斗：看似性格沈穩，其實異常頑固而且自尊心強 2

女：過分認真，甚至難通人情，對自己或他人都非常嚴格。 2

虛：沒有耐性，自尊心強，人際關係淡薄。

危：像孩子般純真，好奇心強，有時顯得浮躁。

室：樂觀而人性的性格，導致輕率之行為而造成周圍麻煩。

壁：性格溫良，難以拒絕他人的要求。擅於發掘他人的長處。

西方白虎

窐：品格端正，深思熟慮，儘管沈默安靜卻具有行動力。 2

婁：不服輸，凡事勇往直前，因而有時一人獨斷獨行。 2

胃：缺乏耐心，好惡分明。

昂：好猜疑，但有時會引來他人的愛慕。

畢：頑固而堅持己見，容易被人視為任意而為。

觜：看似單純，其實充滿算計，喜好道人是非。

參：缺乏耐心，屬毒蛇派，易遭人記恨。

南方朱雀 2

井：自尊心強烈，頭腦清晰，略有些潔癖。 2

鬼：旺盛的好奇心，且充滿行動力，善社交，常與人打成一片。 2

柳：埋首於自己喜好的事物，不過也常中途而廢。

星：缺乏自我主張，但內心卻不服輸，因而容易遭人厭惡。

張：也許的自我中心，不過具領導魅力。

翼：具正義感，性格耿直，屬於不妥協的完美主義者。

軫：具優越的直覺與洞察力，有時也流露自由奔放的一面。
